Microscope is an on-going body of work which is shaped by a desire to reach something that exceeds the self. The work approaches the self as being no longer central, attempting to recognise one’s equivalence with other living beings. What emerges in these works is a record of distance; the space between the will to connect and the reality of how far the self remains from what it seeks to understand. These works are studies which recontextualise the subjects to explore and understand their importance.
